Mr. Faircloth earned an Associate in Arts degree from Cape Fear Community College in 2008, then went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Professional Writing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2012. Afterwards, he worked as a legal assistant for two years prior to enrolling in the Campbell University School of Law. While in law school Mr. Faircloth served as a Comment/Articles Editor for the Campbell Law Review and achieved book awards in Evidence, Professional Responsibility, Client Counseling and “Crimmigration.” Mr. Faircloth also held a summer clerkship with the late Honorable James C. Fox, U.S. District Court Judge, Eastern District of North Carolina, and attended the “Academy of the Advocate” trial advocacy program in St. Andrews, Scotland, where he won their annual storytelling competition.
After graduating cum laude in 2017, Mr. Faircloth joined the Wilmington, N.C. criminal defense law firm, Hosford & Hosford, P.C., where he represented clients accused of everything from the most serious felony offenses to minor traffic infractions.
Mr. Faircloth is a Wilmington, N.C. native and is thrilled to join the Hamlet Law family and continue practicing law in his hometown. In his free time, Mr. Faircloth enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, ice hockey, and golf – where he strives to someday turn in a two-digit scorecard.
